8 oz cream cheese, room temp or softened in microwave
2 TB chopped onion
1 can (6-8 oz) crabmeat, drained (canned works better than fresh)
1 TB milk
1 TB lemon juice
2 TB chili sauce
paprika
wheat thins or other crackers
Mix first 6 ingredients and put in oven-proof dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake 20 mins at 350 (it can be nuked but the onions tend to be stronger that way, unless you parboil them). Serve with crackers.
There's never any left when I serve this -- and I usually double the recipe. In fact, this has, on occasion, been dinner (or breakfast, or anytime) for younger son and myself.
12 oz. macaroni
2 c. mayonnaise (the real stuff, none of that low-fat, lower-calorie goop)
4 TB cider vinegar
1 TB sugar
1 TB salt
freshly ground black pepper to taste
sliced celery
chopped scallion or mild onion
Cook and drain macaroni. Stir in remaining ingredients. Chill. Serve.
Hope you like the recipes.

(this has been posted elsewhere on the TMF boards and has been very well received)
1 lb. very thin spaghetti (but perhaps not angel hair which can get gummy)
7 TB Asian sesame oil
7 TB lower sodium soy sauce
3-4 TB sugar
3 TB balsamic vinegar
1-3 TB hot & spicy oil or chili oil, or to taste
3-6 scallions, chopped
1 bunch cilantro, chopped
Cook noodles without salt. Drain. Run under cool water and drain again. Mix next seven ingredients and stir into noodles. Chill if desired or eat immediately. Some prefer to let the flavors meld together, rather than serving right away.
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter (I prefer unsalted, with a sprinkle of salt added in)
1 tsp lemon juice
2 small cans shrimp, drained
2 TB mayonnaise
2 TB fresh minced onion
Chop/mince/combine/etc in food processor. Serve with crackers. Enjoy!
BTW, I don't always use canned items, but sometimes that works out better.
